This show in on Discovery and I don't know much about it. I have watched nearly every episode, but I don't know how to prove if they are doing an accurate job or not. Anyone have an idea?

I have been a member on the Forum for A Haunting and from what I gather, the stories are genuine. John Zaffis, Peter James, and a few other well-known people in the paranormal field have been on the show describing the events that they were involved with.

Of course, they have had to do some major editing for a 50 minute program and can't cover everything as in depth as I would like it to be. However, I think the program is quality. I think the Discovery Channel has a lot of guts to even air a show like this because it could be so controversial!

My two cents,

I usually find it on Thursday nights, however you will need to check your local listings because it is not always on.
Here (CST) it is on at 7:00pm and 11:00pm most Thursdays.

Awesome info! Thank you! I have not spent a lot of time on that board so I might check it out sometime. I would love for them to do a book with a more descriptive information, maybe all of the things that they can't fit in the show.

I was at a paranormal conference not long ago, and had a chance to hear and speak to John Zaffis personally. I asked him about the cases that were shown on A Haunting and he gave me more detailed information. Also at the conference, was one of the men who's story was featured on A Haunting. He told us about his home being inhabited by a demon and how his family experienced a "violent haunting." Those cases are very real!!!

If you really want to learn about the paranormal, this is great show!!!

Hi !
I met John Zaffis about two years ago at my home.
He did seem to be a sincere decent man,,,a bit on the scared side though...he seemed clearly scared of us or our house we were not sure...lol he high tailed it pretty quick out of the driveway (he wouldn't come in the house) and when the others didn't show up he left.
Very fearful imo which is not good when dealing with inhuman cases.
Seems to me he had a lot of falling outs with his Uncle and left the 'group' but still uses his name and all that.
The show you guys are talking about,, some of them I would consider to be based on real events other are outright ridiculous.
The ones with John and Peter I would definitely lean towards believing,.,,while slightly embellished (by the TV execs no doubt) true never the less.

Wow-that's kinda curious that he would bail like that since he's supposed to be a demonologist. Maybe he is one that believes that there is safety in numbers.
What ever happened in your house? How was the situation resolved?

Curious,

Well there were two house blessings done later on by the group that came later..he came back,,and like I said he was a nice man seemed sincere..he just came across as very fearful and tenative,,not that I am saying its wrong the places he goes and things he sees..yeeeks,,he has reason to be tenative....we moved anyway.,,the situation seemed to lie in the house itself mostly.
Hi EEk,, grin
