I remember in my late teens and early 20's I really liked that show "Tales from the Crypt". I don't remember "Fright Night".

Fright Night came on back in the early 70's.

I was born in 67, so that's probably why I have no memory of that show if it came on in the early 70's. I do remember the "Fright Night" movie though.

i'm not sure if it counts as a "horror" movie, but the first movie to scare the crap out of me was "jaws".

i still won't go swimming in anything other than a swimming pool. that movie traumatized me!

I grew up with 4 older brothers and a father who loved that stuff so that's pretty much what I grew up on, that and science fiction. I really can't remember which one was the first I saw, but the first one I remember going to see at a theater was Mothra. rolleyes

My first horror movie was The Birds. I was about 3 or 4 and my father let me watch it on TV against my mothers wishes. That was 40 years ago and I can still distinctly remember being completely hysterical when I was sent to bed. My mom made my dad deal with me and the only way he could get me to calm down was to move my pillow to the foot of the bed where I could see the window and to sit with his hunting gun across his knee. The farmer with pecked out eyes stuck with me for years.

Mine was Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte with Bette Davis when I was 5 years old...the baby sitter made me and my brother stay up to watch it with her because she was afraid tongue

It's only a book. No harm ever came from reading a book.

I definitely remember mine. I was about 7 or 8 and my brother made me watch Wolfen. Anyone actually remember that movie? Certainly not horror by today's standards but back then for a 7-8 year old, it was enough. I don't watch horror any more laugh

I don't remember who was in it, but IMDB's entry for the movie (http://imdb.com/title/tt0083336/) doesn't list him. From the date of the movie I guess I was more like 11 or 12 and maybe just acted like 7 or 8, LOL!

I was like 12 years old at a slumber party and we watched Shocker! OMG I was never so scared in my life. I don't think I slept a wink that night.

My husband and I watch horror movies all the time. If you haven't seen the Ginger Snaps movies, rent those. The 2nd one is better than the first, but they are pretty good.

Oh I LOVE the Ginger Snaps movies! Awesome as hell!
